We had a free day yesterday. It’s one of those odd twists in the space-time continuum where no one can find our website on the internet so we have no guests checking in that day. It’s a bit freaky in summer, but we take advantage and go for a drive. And, what’s a drive if you’re not going to look at vintage cars?
Rock has wanted to go to Motorland in Arundel ever since he read about it a few months ago. Other than all the wicked cool cars from all over the world, the show-stealer at Motorland is the Tucker.
Unlike other museums, there are no ropes or guards walking around so you can get pretty close to the cars. Keep an eye on the kids, though, you’re responsible for any necessary repairs!
Outside is an entire used car lot with all different vintages. They also have cars you can rent for a wedding.
You know me and my thing about radiator caps and hood ornaments. Even though I didn’t have the ‘good’ camera with me, I managed to get this shot -
After Motorland (Rt 1 in Arundel), we meandered over to Kennebunkport so I could go to Junebug’s Beach House. This cute little shop on Ocean St has the best pet-related, Maine-themed gifts around. Their original shop is in Ogunquit.
We wandered around KBPT for a couple of hours, taking pix, popping into shops, and having a late lunch at Federal Jack’s.
All in all a good day of summer fun in Maine!
