Lobsterman for a day!

We are teaming up with Lucky Catch Lobster to bring you this unique opportunity to take a scenic cruise around Casco Bay combined with fun lobster trivia and hauling lobster traps. Take one of three different routes- the Portland Head Light lighthouse cruise, the Seal Watch Cruise or the White Head Passage island cruise. Please note that hauling traps is not allowed after 4 PM on Saturday or all day Sunday. If your vacation plans have you here for those days, you are invited to take a completely different cruise route aboard the Lucky Catch, however it does not include hauling lobster traps. (Approximate trip length is 90 minutes.)

Your package includes 2 nights' stay for 2, full breakfast each morning, afternoon treats, all inn amenities, all lodging taxes and 2 gift certificates for the cruise.

Reservations are required for the cruise. To insure you get the cruise route you want, please book at least 2 weeks in advance. (We will call and make your cruise reservation using the information you give to us.) The Portland Head Light cruise leaves at 10:30 AM or 2 PM, the Seal Watch cruise leaves at 12:15 PM or 3:45 PM and the White Head Passage cruise leaves at 5:30 PM (July and August only).

As with any outdoor, water-based activity, cruises may be cancelled at the discretion of the crew should adverse weather conditions prevail. If the cruise is cancelled, and you cannot rebook another cruise during your stay, just return the gift certificate to us and we will refund the price of the cruise. No refunds given if you choose not to go on the cruise.

• The Portland Head Light lighthouse cruise takes in the 6 main lighthouses in Portland Harbor, Fort Gorges and Fort Scammel.

• The Seal Watch cruise takes in many of the Casco Bay lighthouses and stops off Seal Rock to haul traps. Seals may be seen basking here almost everyday.

• The White Head Passage cruise takes in the 2 of the major islands in Casco Bay as well as the White Head cliffs. Also visible along this route will be some of the lighthouses in the bay as well as the forts.

• The Sunday-only Fort Gorges trip is a 10-15 minute boat ride to the fort and the remainder of the time is for you to explore the fort. Departure times vary by the tides and may be as early as 9 AM or as late as 2:30 PM.

The Portland Harbor is about a 20 minute drive from here. You will need to leave enough time to park your car in one of the many parking garages, lots or metered parking spots along Commercial Street and walk to the boat. Maps of downtown Portland are available here and we'll point out parking areas to you!
